MountainKid AI’s mission is to solve Himachal Pradesh’s toughest problems in education, food, health, tourism, and agriculture using AI, Rust, and blockchain. We’re building intuitive AI tools for everyone—from students in rfSE Club to farmers optimizing crops. Our flagship project, rfSE Club, is transforming education for 10th-12th graders, while Sari, our health app, empowers communities with accessible care.

Location

The role is based in Jakhu Hill, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Candidates are expected to be located in or near Shimla. Weekly thrice commuting to our office is required.

About the Role

As a Graphic Designer at MountainKid AI, you’ll create visually compelling designs that communicate complex ideas simply and effectively. You’ll work on rfSE Club, designing engaging edtech interfaces and materials for students, and Sari, our health app, crafting intuitive visuals for community health solutions, Your designs will also support projects in agriculture, tourism, and food, helping tackle Himachal’s challenges like unemployment and economic growth. This role requires a strong sense of urgency, creativity, and alignment with our mission to build intuitive AI tools for everyone.

Focus

• Design user-friendly interfaces for rfSE Club’s edtech platforms, including live-class dashboards and learning resources.
• Create intuitive visuals for Sari, ensuring accessible and engaging user experiences for health-focused applications.
• Develop branding materials, infographics, and promotional content for agriculture, tourism, and food projects addressing Himachal’s economic challenges.
• Simplify complex AI-driven concepts into clear, visually appealing designs for diverse audiences, from students to farmers.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure designs align with technical requirements and project goals.

Required Skills

• Ability to read and understand content, distilling it into simple, impactful designs without needing extensive guidance.
• Strong design sense and common sense to create visuals that resonate with diverse audiences.
• Sense of urgency to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Shared vision with MountainKid AI to create intuitive AI tools while addressing Himachal’s challenges like unemployment and economic growth.
• Proficiency in design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with a portfolio showcasing clean, purposeful designs.

Interview Process

After submitting your application, our team will review your portfolio and statement of exceptional work. If you pass this stage, you’ll be invited to a 15-minute phone interview to discuss your experience. If you clear this, you’ll enter the main process, which includes:

• Design challenge: Create a mockup based on a real-world brief.
• Portfolio review: Present your past work and explain your design process.
• Live design session: Simplify a complex concept into a visual in real time.
• Meet and greet with the MountainKid AI team.

We aim to complete the main process within one week. All interviews will be conducted via Google Meet.

Working Hours

Partime (20 Hours a week)

Annual Salary Range

Depends on the skills. (Salary will be incremented exponentially).
